Give Your Phone Camera a Boost With Selfie Stick

Give Your Phone Camera a Boost With Selfie Stick
February 16, 2022

You have have read the title and only thought of taking selfies. While I’ve taken a handful of them, I’m not a fan. This idea came about because of hummingbirds. There was a nest above my reach. I knew it had eggs, but didn’t know any more than that. So how could I easily get a photo looking down on the nest? Yes, I’ll post a link to purchase at Amazon that might bring me a nickel or two if you use it. Nothing else was provided to me for writing this.

First, I’ll share the photo I’ve taken without a selfie stick so you’ll understand. This is a cropped version of the main photo as the closest I could reach was still at least a couple of feet too low.

Hummingbird Nest

Now I know there were at least two eggs. I can’t tell if there are two or three babies, but two if the most common number. I might have another ten days before the babies fly away so I want to get a photo from above. This Extendable Selfie Stick with Wireless Remote and Tripod Stand will allow me up to 101 cm (just short of 40 inches) so that I can get my phone above the nest. It comes with a Bluetooth clicker, though I won’t need that with my phone. There is also a tripod if I want to shoot a photo of myself from a few feet away.

Selfie Stick Collapsed

One of the best parts of this particular selfie stick is that it collapses down into a small package that is easy to carry with you. Hopefully I can get my stick in time to get photos of the baby birds. If so, I’ll make sure to post it on the Graphics Unleashed Facebook page.
