You’ve likely seen quite a few vehicles covered with artwork. Most likely, you already have the graphics tools needed to create the artwork for vehicles. The last piece of the equation is a template upon which to design the artwork for each specific vehicle type. If the vehicle is a few years old, you can even get the templates completely free!
Since everybody loves free stuff, go ahead and sign up for a free subscription. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll get an e-mail with a username and password to sign in to your account. The next step is to find the templates of use to you. Go to the search page and select the brand, model and year of the vehicle you desire. Below is an example of a search for a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up. Note that this model has a total of 25 templates in the library for various years and body styles. On the right side, you’ll see a button that says download free!
In order to download, you need to login to the account you created. At the top right of the graphic, note where it says Login | Register. If you have already registered for a free account, you’ll want to click Login and enter the credentials you received via e-mail. Now click the download button and you’ll get the template. You can download as many of the free templates as you want.
Not all vehicle templates are free, only templates for vehicles from 2008 and earlier. There are also a number of other categories of graphics listed on the left side of the search screen. You are welcome to search the other categories to see all the available content. If you choose a paid subscription, you can download as much content from any category as you like. For those who have a specific interest in specific vehicle templates, please make sure to search the library for those templates before purchase. New templates are constantly being added, but it is important that you can get the ones you want when you purchase.
We have a video showing you the process of signing up for a free subscription.
Not sure how to use the vehicle templates in your favorite software? You’ll find links to free tutorials for different graphics software in the right sidebar of the site. Another benefit of a paid subscription is 3D software that allows you to render your design in 3D. This is a great way to show a client how their vehicle will look in their parking lot before you print and apply the wrap.
