When I was growing up, I remember seeing daddy longlegs spiders every now and then on the wall. I was taught they were good spiders who kept the other bugs away. Today’s font, Daddy Longlegs NF, won’t keep the other fonts away. It gets the name because each of the characters is very thin and therefore it is perfect when you have to fit a lot of letters in a small space. Fonts of this type are often used on things like movie posters so that all of the actors and others involved in the movie can be listed in one small block.
