The Power of Slogans

A slogan is an extremely important way to position a company or product. For those of you in the sign or apparel business, creating catchy slogans can be very good for business. There was an excellent article in The Atlantic titled The Science of Slogans: The Best and Worst Ad Campaigns of All Time. Look over some of the timeless slogans featured in that article and others that were complete flops.

Now take a look at the slogan you use for your own business. Is it sending the message you want to customers? If you are designing for other companies, are you also creating slogans for them? Those of you making t-shirts are certainly aware that a great slogan can sell a bunch of shirts. I’d love to hear about some of the great slogans you are using.
