The Day After

November 7, 2012

When you look at the title of the blog, you may not immediately think of the movies of the same name from 1983. It was a television movie centered around the area of Kansas in which I lived and several scenes were filmed at the University of Kansas, my alma mater. Of course the subject matter was a nuclear holocaust.

Now many of you probably thought of the elections held in the US yesterday. Many of the results are up in the air as I write this. But more importantly, it is the day after the ads finally ended. The movie accurately reflected the tone of most of the ads. Whew, I’m glad I don’t have to see any more for a while!

I’d like to say it is the day after I put the last few touches on CorelDRAW X6 Unleashed. Still a little bit of testing to do before it is finalized, but nothing that should stop it from shipping on Friday. I’m confident enough it will be completed today that I have plans to attend a Lions Club charity dinner tonight as my way to celebrate the completion.

Oh. Yea. Helluva movie. I have it on DVD. I don’t watch it too often though…
