Light Up Your Environment With Wyze Bulb Color

Loyal readers know that I’m a huge fan of various home automation products. When it comes to lighting, my needs have been pretty simple. I want an easy way to turn them on and off via voice control. Smart switches and plugs do that for me. But there are so many more things you can do with lighting and today we’ll look at one such option. Yes, there will be Amazon links that pay a puny commission if you use them. No, I didn’t get supplied with any lights.

Wyze Bulb ColorToday we’ll look at some smart light bulbs named Wyze Bulb Color. LED light bulbs certainly cost more because they last longer. Smart plugs also have a cost. Combine all of that into the Wyze Bulb Color and the pricing is really good. Note that my link is to a 4-pack so keep that in mind when you see the price.

Let’s start with light bulb basics. These bulbs are capable of 1100 lumens of output and are the equivalent of 75 watt bulbs (using only 12 watts). One feature allows you to dim the bulb as low as 30 lumens and 2 watts. You can also adjust the white light color temperature to whatever is best for your needs. Since they have RGB controls, you can set them to any of 16 million colors!

Now for the fun automation stuff. Want to wake up to simulated sunlight? Set up a routine when they start very dim and get brighter at a certain time. Want to set the mood? You can set a preset to exactly what you desire.

While I have not upgraded my bulbs yet, I am considering adding some Wyze Bulb Color in the future. In general, I prefer a darker room unless light is truly needed for something. These bulbs would allow me to have some dim light (maybe even some color) so I wouldn’t always be in the dark.
