Supersize Your Viewing With BenQ 3000i 4K Projector

Supersize Your Viewing With BenQ 3000i 4K Projector
October 19, 2022

I bought my very first projector nearly 30 years ago and I traveled all over the US with it to present seminars. Over time I bought several more with the most recent being an HD projector that I still use occasionally today. Over time they have gotten brighter, higher resolution and the prices have even dropped. Today we’ll look at a projector that takes things to the next level. I’ll provide a link to Amazon so you can get one and I do earn a small commission should you buy one. As much as I’d love it, I did not get a free sample to write this.

Why would you want a projector? There are numerous reasons and I’ll list a few. You can hook up your favorite gaming system to play games. A computer could be connected to do presentations. Plug in a streaming device and you can watch TV or movies. Basically, anything you can do with a television can be supersized with a projector.

The BenQ X3000i 4K Projector gives you the ability to do all of those things on a huge screen! How huge? If the projector is 12.5 feet (3.8 meters) away from the screen, you’ll have a 150″ image! Even at 8.2 feet (2.5 meters) away, you get a 100″ screen. How much would you pay for a television of that size?

Most projectors look pretty good in a dark room, but you need brightness if you want to watch with the lights on. This model delivers 3000 lumens meaning you will get a nice bright image with some lights, though it probably won’t be great outdoors in daylight.

While it does include an “Android TV” device, it doesn’t support all streaming services and they specifically mention Netflix not being supported. You’d be better off getting a Fire TV Stick 4K Max to drive it. As someone who does plug a Fire stick into a projector, it gives you a perfect pairing for large-screen viewing.
