Dear Jeff, My company makes human and machine readable plates for industry. These plates can contain several separate fields with 3 of 9 barcodes (and human readable info below each) serialization, and then a 256 barcode – right now we use datamatrix 256 barcode generator that contains all human readable info from plate, along with serialization. 256 barcode info reads on three separate lines. My problem is making everything more automated. Right now I have to type in each serial number individually in the datamatrix generator, copy and paste each one
into corel, then size and place each one. I do hundreds! The 3 of 9 I can do as a merge in fields that have 3 of 9 barcode font, so that part isn’t so bad – using impostion setup for my print. I would also like to now use QR barcodes. Can Ecut work with Corel 2018? Can it create files with human readable info, 3 of 9 and QR barcodes with automated serialization all on one plate? Can the QR barcode be created so info input reads on separate lines if necessary? Can I still use Corel’s imposition set up to make it multiple plates on one sheet for printing? I have exhausted just about every avenue trying to find complete procedure on making this work. Your video was the best Ive seen on a QR subject, so I am really hoping you can help me with my questions. thanks!
I’ve written a blog post showing QR codes and imposition using eCut. Check it out at https://graphics-unleashed.com/2016/11/turbocharge-name-badges-with-imposition-and-ecut/ as I think it answers most of your questions. And yes, eCut does work with CorelDRAW 2018.
Thanks to both Foster and Jeff for your replies. Will check out the links and look forward to hearing if the tests work. It’s been difficult finding a platform that will handle both barcode types (3 of 9) and QR, along with the other information merged into 1 setup that can be then set multiple up for print. I have the 3 of 9 font but I do not have the generator for QR barcodes.

What I meant by tests – I can output a result using some of your data if you like, on your own design project so you can see it. You’d have to contact me at macromonster.com first.
Hello Trixie,
I’d be happy to try a test for you and send you the results. Contact me here.
