Valera Creator 95: Collapsible Green Screen for StreamingWe’ve all seen the special effects in movies where a character looks to be in a very unrealistic situation. Of course it was filmed in front of a green screen and then the situation was digitally inserted using chroma key technology. I’ll tell you about a product that allows you to do this and I will provide a link to purchase at Amazon. Yes, I get a small commission if you buy. Don’t worry, I had to buy my own as I didn’t get any freebies.

If you want to do the same thing, you need a green screen and I found the Valera Creator 95: Collapsible Green Screen for Streaming to be perfect for my needs. I don’t have a lot of space so I needed something I could easily collapse and only use when needed. It is 58 inches wide (that’s almost five feet) and 75 inches tall. That allows more than one person to stand in front of it comfortably.

Next, you’ll need a camera and software that supports Chroma Key so that you can replace the green screen with whatever you desire. There are a wide range of products with such capability. I’m using the Logitech C920 Web cam and Logitech’s Capture software supports Chroma Key. So I’m all set if I want to use my Web cam to stream video. Other video editing tools have support so I’d also have a way to swap out the green if I use another camera to record video.

This gives everyone the ability to produce high-end looking video on a very small budget. If you have the need, this screen is a great option!
