Most all computer users rely on their keyboard to input text into the computer. I’ve not hidden my keyboard preference for the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard. For more on my choice, read New Keyboard Same as the Old Keyboard. Today we’re going to look at very high-end keyboard and it will cost you a bit more. Yes, I’ll include an Amazon link from which I receive a puny commission. No, I didn’t get a free keyboard.

Regardless of how the keyboard works, it definitely looks cool and the ability to define the RGB lighting for each key is pretty awesome. But, that has little to do with how the keyboard functions. If gaming is a big deal to you, this keyboard is far more appealing as the target market is gamers. Heck, that’s even in the name: Razer Huntsman Elite Gaming Keyboard.

Traditionally the best keyboards use mechanical switches on each key. This keyboard uses optical switches to provide even faster registering of key presses and still gives clicky feedback. The frame is made of aluminum instead of plastic and comes with an ergonomic wrist rest.

I personally prefer the split keyboards and that would be the only usage drawback for me. Keep in mind that the high quality does come with a higher price. That could be a dealbreaker for you if you don’t need the quality and speed it provides. Whether you choose it or not, it should at least be investigated if you are needing a new keyboard.
