My Favorites Products Covered in 2022

My Favorites Products Covered in 2022
December 28, 2022

In 2022 I’ve covered more than 50 products. Some of those products I’ve purchased and used and others I haven’t. Today I’m going to recap the four products that I purchased and enjoyed the most in 2022. They will be listed in chronological order that I wrote about them. Most of the posts include links to Amazon to purchase the products and I receive a very small commission if you use my links.

Wireless Lavalier Microphone

When I’m recording videos with my phone, the built-in microphone often isn’t enough to get clear audio. I wrote Be Heard With Wireless Lavalier Microphone about a great solution for mobile phones. The Wireless Microphone System for iPhone & Smartphones w USB C only really has only one feature, but it does it well. I’ve not used it as much as I expected simply because I haven’t recorded that many videos. But it does a great job and will get used more in 2023.

USB Car Charger

While my vehicle has USB charging ports, they tend to get really hot and ruin charging cables. There I wrote Charge In The Car With Anker Car Charger Dual USB about a solution. The Anker Mini Aluminum Alloy 24W Dual USB Car Charger is an inexpensive solution that gives me two ports in a very small package. It lives in my vehicle and is used regularly on longer drives and even on a few shorter drives.

SodaStream Terra

I like fizzy beverages and the SodaStream Terra seemed like a great answer for me. I wrote all about it in Add Sparkle to Your Beverages With SodaStream Terra. That was written before I actually received the product and the wait to get it drove me a little crazy. Now that it sits on my counter, I have fizzy water and other carbonated beverages just a few pushes of a button away. Definitely one of my favorites of 2022!

Missing Headphone Jack

While I’ve seen the reasons why the headphone jack was removed on many phones, I still hated the result. That jack is very important to me and it kept me from upgrading my phone for quite a while. I knew a new phone was coming in 2022 and thus I wrote Getting the Missing Headphone Jack Back on New Phones. Another really small and inexpensive product, it has proved invaluable to me. The USB C to 3.5mm Headphone and Charger Adapter gives me back my headphone jack while still having a USB-C port available.

Recap

Those are the only four products covered in 2022 that I truly purchased. There were quite a few posts written about products similar to what I already owned and loved. One of the challenges I face each week is writing about a product that I’ve found useful when I already have many of the things I need (and love). So I won’t be writing a post every week in 2023 on hardware. When there is something worthy of writing about, I’ll definitely write something that week.

I’m also working on some other changes to the blog and will detail those in an upcoming post early in January.
